Hi there:
Given the conversation about talking Microwaves etc I'm forwarding the
notice of the Marlaina show on ACB Radio.
She does a great show and folks might be able to get some good
information for this year, or online shopping for next year.
Also when she does cooking in the dark, that is pretty cool to listen to
as well. That will be her second hour.
The show starts at 5 P.M. every Sunday on ACB Radio
Enjoy your Sunday.
Donna

Hello and I hope each of you is enjoying this most wonderful time of the
year as much as I am! I love the holiday season, and apologize that for
part of this one anyway, I'm still recovering from surgery.
However, I have a great show lined up for you for the next marlaina
show.
I'll be introducing you to voices you've heard and maybe one you
haven't,
and introducing you to some possibilities for that last minute gift, or
to
places you might add to your favorites for next year's online shopping
experience.
One thing we all have to do all year long is eat, and in this year's
Holiday
Vendor parade, the first person you'll meet is someone who can help you
do
that while your dollars go toward helping women in the Colorado area as
they
progress from lives of dependency to lives filled with self-worth and
independence. I first discovered the Women's Bean Project two years ago
and
haven't stopped eating their fine bean soups and chilies since. They've
added in jelly beans, coffee beans, ice teas and more. All the work is
performed by women in various phases of rehabilitation. Tamra Ryan,
Executive Director of the Women's Bean Project joins us to tell us not
only
about the project, but all the yummy foods choices at reasonable prices
available to you from their web site. As I type this, I'm cooking up a
pot
of number ten firehouse Chile in my crockpot and oh boy does the house
smell
great.
After Tamra, we'll be joined by none other than Stephen Guerra from
Independent Living Aids with his usual enthusiasm for ILA's newest
items.
Hey, even if things are a bit late for Christmas or Holidays, there's
always
Valentines Day! And, just spending a few moments with Steve will make
anybody's day a better one for sure!
Next on the docket is Kelly Dunn from HandiTech North America. One
never
knows what Kelly's going to have to say, but one can usually count on
the
fact that she'll have news about accessible cell phones, and if I don't
miss
my mark, I bet she'll have a word or 2 not only about Mobile Speak but
new
and cool Braille displays out of HandiTech.
We open the second hour with none other than the world renowned and oh
so
shy Mr. You Don't Need Sight to Cook Dinner Tonight, Dale Campbell.
Cooking
in the Dark is featuring it's 100th broadcast, and the marlaina show is
honored to help celebrate that. So, for the entire second hour, Dale
the
man is all yours; call him up, ask him questions, hear what Blind Mice
mart
can still do you for holiday gift giving, and again, if you're like me,
a
gift for the kitchen can arrive when ever it's little heart chooses to
arrive.
So, you can see we've got a packed agenda for the next Marlaina.
The Marlaina show is heard on ACB Radio Mainstream.
It all starts on Sunday night at 8 PM Eastern, 5 Pacific, which is
Monday
morning at 1 Universal. The program will replay for 24 hours, and of
course, is available via podcast from the ACB Radio replay page.
As always, we'll take your calls at our toll-free number, 866 666 7926.
