Joe:
When I mentioned "give the people what they want," I am simply stating
the obvious: We need to be taught to stand up and fight, and not vet the
adversaries win. We need to learn that it is up to us to get the arms of
armor working in our favor.
Too many times, all of us have heard the word, "can't." Guess what! So
have the sighted people around us! What do we have to do? Listen and
associate. One of my ex-friends put it this way: "There's a time, and a
place." We can't always accept handouts, we _must accept a hand. We can't
always rebel against people; we need to listen. The nfb must be leaders in
teaching the younger people the ropes. We must stand firm, be pragmatic,
and, unless the word "no" is not the only answer, turn the "no" into a
"yes."Joe:

No true are any statements are, than what happened to me in 2001. In
early August, I was 86'ed out of a tv studio because they, the crew, felt
that I "might cause problems." Enter Marc Maurer. He told me to be
militant, and _stand _up.
