Hi cindy and others;
I do not think the talking menu was intended to replace the print menu.
It is to assist anyone with any reading problem such as the blind,
learning disabled and the elderly. My biggest concern is the cost and
what effect will it have on promoting Braille. Also, how often would
they update these menus? They need to compare the cost of creating a
Braille menu and this talking menu and being able to keep each one up to
date. Which is more economical? The talking menu could help a few more
people, but is it economical? That is my big question.

I don't think they'll go over very well with the sighted public. First,

they won't want to use earphones and secondly, they won't want to sit
and
listen to the menu, when they could glance through a print menu. So,
they
probably won't go very far.
