Hi, Chris,

I have the Talks with the Nokia 6620 through Cingular. Yes, you need to get
your account set up, then get your phone. You still will be able to choose
which phone you want to receive. We got our account set up over the phone,
versus going to a Cingular store, and had no problems.

I would also talk to Seth Leblond at Beyond Sight, as there are later
versions of the Nokia phones you can buy straight from Nokia that will work
better with Talks than the 6620.  Nokia sells all their phones unlocked;
then all you have to do is get a Sim-card from Cingular; those are free to
any Cingular customer; place the new Sim card in your phone under the
battery and memory card, and you're good to go.

About T-Mobile, although very good, I know in our area, their coverage isn't
as good as Cingular's; my daughter's boyfriend is switching to Cingular for
that very reason.

You're also welcome to write me off-list with any additional questions.

Judy Jones

I am trying to get the Nokia 6620 with talks software and the rebate from
Cingular. When I call the national center for people with disabilities,
they
said they can't give me a phone until I call the main Cingular number and
get an account set up. When I call the main Cingular number to set up an
account,
they said they can't set up an account without an imei number for the phone.
Then I called the disability thing again and was told the same thing I was
told before. IS there some magic number to get through to someone who
actually can help me? I really want to get this ordered today. I was
thinking
about using TMobile and getting the oasis 22se but I don't know what
coverage tMobile has in the area I'm moving to and I need a phone that has a
neckloop
with it to work with my hearing aid. What should I do? I'm very
frustrated.
