.Dear All,
.
.I am considering getting a new note taker and I am looking for feed back as to how you feel about these two note takers, the Voice Note by human Ware and the Pac-Mate by Freedom Scientific.
.
.I will likely get a Braille Display and a G.P.S. unit to use with the note taker.
.I like the size of the keyboard on the Pac-Mate better, but could live with the smaller one. I like the fact that with the Pac-Mate the Braille display can be detached and sent in for service without having to send my note taker too as would be needed with the Voice Note.
.The Pac-Mate can also use "off the shelf" software with Windows PC so I can accessorize it more easily than the Voice Note. It will run scanners, cameras, and bar code scanners.
.
.The GO.P.S. for the Voice Note, made by Sendera, on the other hand, seems to be better than the one available for the Pac-Mate called "Street Talk."
.I was impressed with Sendera's G.P.S. program as it has a feature that will inform you of "Points of Interest" around your location as you travel.
.This could be very useful to some one from out of town who is looking for a place to get a meal, information or a place to do some business.
.I just want to hear back what you think about them pro and con if you have one.
.You can write me off list at drevans at bellsouth.net so as not to tie up the list.
.Thanks for your help.
.
.David Evans, NFBF
