Subject: [Mobile Speak Pocket] New MSS build for Motorola Q users

Hello All,

This new build addresses the issue encountered on some, not all, Motorola Q
units where the trial license expires before the end of 30 days. Note that
it will make no difference on other SmartPhones.

However, Motorola Q users who have registered Mobile Speak SmartPhone with a
full license would need to obtain a new activation code if they install this
build, or any other build released after this one, since the serial number
generated will be different. They may contact their local distributor or
sales at codefactory.es to get the new license code for their unit. please
provide the name you have registered, as well as the serial number and
corresponding license which you can find by selecting "Registration" from
the MSS Control Panel (Win+RightSoft or Win+C), selecting the voice in the
first field with Right arrow if there is more than one, and then navigating
to the serial number and license fields using Down arrow. You will not be
charged again for this new license. It is also important to note that users
of other SmartPhones who decide to install this build or later releases will
not have a different serial number.

You can download MSS V1.0.1.038 from
http://www.codefactory.es/mobile_speak_smartphone/mss_downloads.htm.

Remember that you must uninstall the build you have right now using
ActiveSync before installing this new one. To do this:
1. Connect the device to your PC.
2. Establish an ActiveSync partnership.
3. Open the ActiveSync window and go to Tools > Add/Remove Programs
(Alt+T, then M).
4. From the list of installed applications, select "Code Factory Mobile
Speak SmartPhone".
5. Tab to the "Remove" button and press Enter. Press "OK" to confirm. The
device will automatically restart during the uninstallation process. Please
be patient and do not open Add/Remove Programs at least 30 seconds after
ActiveSync partnership is established again.

You will have to repeat the steps described above to remove the TTS. In Step
4, select the TTS instead of "Code Factory Mobile Speak SmartPhone". The
device will not restart after you uninstall the TTS.

Please refer to the Mobile Speak SmartPhone Quick Reference Guide for
instructions on installing MSS. Further, because we want you to have the
opportunity to properly evaluate MSS, the trial period of Motorola Q users
experiencing this problem has been reset, so please use the Remote
Activation Wizard to obtain the trial license. Keep in mind, however, that a
change in the date and time set on the device, particularly if it moves
back, will cause the trial license to expire. This is not a bug but a
security feature, and correcting the time and date will not reactivate the
trial license so you would need to use Remote Product Activation again. One
possible cause of the date and time changing is when the battery is pulled
out.

Code Factory thanks all Motorola Q users who have reported this problem and
helped us collect the details needed to resolve the issue as it was not
happening on all units. We appreciate your feedback and patience, and we
apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused. Thank you for
supporting our new product.

Sincerely,
