[nfb-talk] paper money -- did anyone hear about this?

Yes, and I got a call from a reporter tonight asking for comments. I told
her that I had been blind all my life and had been using various ways of
folding money for identification purposes successfully. I told her that I
felt that making the type of changes suggested by the ACB would be very
costly to our government and would have far reaching consequences, such as
those who manufacture the dollar bill changers, etc.
She asked one question which I was delighted to answer. She asked, "If you
could wave a magic wand and make one change, what would it be?" I told her
that I would like to make software accessible to blind computer users so we
wouldn't be locked out of the job market. I said that I would also like to
make it mandatory for all state governments not to purchase any software
that wasn't accessible to blind and visually impaired users. I talked about
companies who now scan all their paper and make images which are impossible
for our screen reading software applications to read.

I just got the following news flash in my email. Has anyone heard more? I
think it's ridiculous. Comments welcome.
