Hi to all in NFB family,
Because of undefined quirks in U.S. postal system I just now read my
August-September Monitor (read the October one weeks ago).
How exciting it was to read convention highlights; now that I finally made
it to a convention (2005) it's all that much more meaningful to me.
But the really wonderful parts of this issue to me were the messages about
Mrs. Hazel TenBroek. I loved reading each memory, each tributes, each
reflection.
Thank you for publishing this amazing story.
What books are forthcoming? It seems to me that Mrs. TenBroek belongs in a
category with such pioneering women as Lillian Gilbraith and others whose
lives have been described in the print and electronic media.
Shouldn't someone who's in touch with the entertainment industry bring her
story to the attention of movie producers?
Perhaps I'm veering too much away from the topic here.
Thanks again.
