Chris, there are a few people I've known over the years who insist that
blindness isn't really a disability and tend to suggest that we deserve
more/different/better treatment than people with disabilities.  I think
they're kidding themselves personally, but it just goes to show that these
things will happen no matter what you do.

This really isn't a Federationist problem so much as it is a problem with
people whose experience is limited--willfully or otherwise.  The best
thing we can do when we encounter it is educate to the best of our
abilities.
