Marty,
My experience with ACB was the same as both you and Priscilla.
But I am glad that I explored my options.
Even though I have some things that I disagree with the NFB.
But I am glad that I chose to be involved with this organization.
If it gets too much for me.
Then I will become one of those blind people that are unaffilliated.
Just my Opinion.

All I can say is that you have made some very good points in your message. 
Like you, I too spent some time in the ACB attending meetings.  Fortunately,
unlike some others have done, I explored both options and found out that the
NFB was much more positive.  We are changing what it means to be blind and
that is more than  I can say for what I experienced in the ACB.
