The cool thing about folding my money is that the store clerks have asked
about the system I use to keep my money identifiable. All of them have been
more than willing to learn, and find it quite fascinating.

You are right in that every time we get a bill we need to verify what it is,
but it's all in the attitude we approach this. It really isn't a big deal,
and when sighted people see us handling cash in a matter-of-fact manner, its
no big deal to them either. We set the tone how sighted people are going to
feel toward us as we relate to them. When we take the lead in handling what
we need, people see that we're in charge.
Also, if you know what change you are expecting back, you can catch that
yourself by doing the math in your head during the transaction. I had to
correct someone the other day, so this skill has stood well by me.
