[nfb-talk] Anyone else having trouble with NFB web site today?

Hello Ken and listers,

    They are making progress so bear with them. Last night I surfed around
on the Jernigan Institute area and discovered that the Help America Vote Act
Curriculum Videos are now available for on-line listening, and for
downloading. I downloaded the Curriculum Video and the eSlate Video and
tested all of those links. Everything is working very nicely. Something told
me to hang on as I felt that this outage would just be temporary. I'm glad
to know that given no unexpected glitches all NFB audio will be back in
operation next week.

    John Burgrim spoke to us during the NFB Webmasters meeting about the new
Web Site and the plans to increase content and functionality in the coming
year. There's some very exciting things on tap for the near future so check
the site often. John is a Communications Specialist who works at the
National Center who is doing much to improve our in-house and Internet
capabilities with many technological upgrades and information management
systems. All ready the new Web site has more video content than the old site
did with more to come in the future.

    Without saying too much I believe it will be possible for us to do
something next year folks have been asking for for a while now so stay tuned
to this channel for more news as it's made available. I'm sure these
announcements will also appear in The Braille Monitor, the Presidential
Releases, and on our Web Site. When the NFB does something it does it first
class, and that's wonderful!!

Hi Cynthia I called the NFB National Office in Baltimore, and I was told
that the problem will be fixed next week.
