Robert, I think your idea is a great one. We certainly have a common bond in 
our age group and our visual impairment and should desire communication and 
fellowship with one another.  Now another thing that needs to be considered 
is the fact that in our visually impaired seniors, we also have a fair 
number of folks who, like about 1/3 of the general population, also suffer 
from some hearing loss. That disability can certainly add awkwardness and 
arduousness  to one's usual
aptitudes and abilities.
