Getting any group of people to participate always starts with getting them
to become aware of you and what you might have to offer them. So marketing
is what we need to think about. We sure have a bunch of members who are
seniors, in their 70s and 80s and 90s, and we need to learn what methods of
communication they tend to use and then we'd have to use those same avenues
to get to them. And sure, the computer and a mailing list like this one is a
wonderful communication tool, and I'm sure there are more of the older set
out there that do have computers and are not aware of this list. So ... Hmm
... Putting the word out in all NFB publications and trying to rally folks
to this medium. (I'm sure we could get more on this list by making this
effort.)
