[NFB-Science] Accommodations at Work

Jillian,
I agree with John: now is a good time to let the company know that you are blind and need an accommodation. What John suggests as an alternate to taking the quiz on an online platform is the sort of proactive idea that the company may appreciate. And it demonstrates that you take initiative and can solve problems if the company is willing to be reasonable and dialogue.

Hello Jillian, Nfb CS is another good list to ask this question. I would think right now is the right time to tell the company that you are blind or low vision. It is a great time to have a dialogue. Perhaps they could send you a list of questions in a word document and you could return it back to them. There are so many different ways that you could demonstrate to them everything that you know. Very best, John.

I did not tell the recruiter that I was legally blind, so am I allowed to ask for accommodations before taking the test? I need extended time and would need to view sample questions in the online portal to check for readability. I just do not know how to ask for accommodations at work, and the test is due this Friday, 10/18.
