I was asked to respond to this post.

The Independent Laboratory Access for the Blind project, or ILAB,
here at Penn State has developed a JAWS interface with the
commercially available software package known as Logger Pro available
from Vernier Software and Technology.

Vernier is the largest distributor of laboratory probes in the United
States for teaching science. These probes are available in many high
school and college laboratories across the United States.

The Logger Pro 3.5 version of the software is the most functional
version to date. This software package will give you access to any
Vernier probes in their on-line catalog at vernier.com. This catalog
includes balances, temperature probes, pH probes, calorimeters, and much more.

If you would like to receive the JAWS scripts designed for versions
7.0 or later, which was recently was found to work in Microsoft
Vista, or if you would like more information about the ILAB project, go to:
http://ilab.psu.edu or look for the article in the May 2007 Braile Monitor.

If you have any further questions that cannot be answered by our
website, please feel free to email me at cas380 at psu.edu.
