Hi Al,
Thank you for providing your info once more. Thank you for collecting
dues Monday evening, too.
There is another activity where youth (mostly high school students) meet
division leaders July 2 from 11:30-12:30.
I thought I would invite a few division board members to mingle with
blind youth to see if they have questions about the division. They said
we could bring multiple reps and since we all care so much about
catching the young ones early,
Let me know if you would want to participate. If not, no problems as I
will be there.
Very best,
John

Hello John,
I will be attending the division meeting, but not the expo. I will
collect
dues, someone else should take down registration information from those
who
have not submitted before hand. I will also keep a list of pledges for
our
grant if we are going to do this. I will probably want to leave the
meeting
early say around 8:30pm. Please schedule treasures report before that
time.
My registration information has not changed;

Hello,
Are there any particular problems you are facing in coursework or
professionally that have technical solutions?
For myself, I know for a fact that writing Jaws scripts would improve my
use of PC programs I work with every day.
So my problem is identifying how to author Jaws scripts. Let me know
challenges you are having and would like an answer to at science and
engineering seminar
Or to be pointed to someone who has knowledge that can help.
On Sunday July 1 there is a division expo (I believe from 1:30-6:00).
Please e-mail me if you would like to do a 1 hour or 2 hour shift
introducing our division to members who stop by our booth.
The event calls on us to create some interactive activity such as
trivial pursuit of technology
Or something more fun that I cannot think of at the moment.
The agenda is shaping up to be a very exciting one this year at the
Science and Engineering Division meeting July 2 in Atlanta
Please help with registration from 6:30pm to 7pm.
If you are planning to attend, e-mail me at jmiller at ucsd.edu. Provide
your name, e-mail, phone number, mailing address.
This way I will have accurate registration information ahead of time and
registration will go faster. Please bring $5 to the seminar for dues.
It is extremely helpful if you also bring 4 $5 bills to make change for
a $20.
Registration slows down when cash runs low. Please e-mail me if you can
help with registration at 6:30 p.m.
Ask individuals to bring a Braille note card with registration info
pre-filled out for themselves when they arrive. It is just a half hour,
but if we make these small steps it goes so very much faster.
And then we can get on to our very interesting list of speakers.
Registration can be done via print, slate and stylus, or Braille note
Compaq flash card, or USB memory stick if you have laptop in-hand.
Please talk up the science seminar to scholarship winners, students, and
friends.
See you in Atlanta!
John
