Hello, this is John Miller. I invite each of you to share something about
yourself and your interest in science and/or engineering. Before telling
you something about myself I’d like to introduce the board of the S&E
Division:

I hope you will enjoy getting to know these fine individuals and each
other and that, together, we can make a more competitive group of blind
professionals.
Here is my intro:
I am a systems engineer. I recently started working at NextWave Broadband
in San Diego. I am reading much new material to me from IEEE articles to
wireless standards prepared in the Nemeth Braille code. I work with
circuit design, graphics, and complex print math notations in my job. I am
enjoying re-learning middle school science as I help my son, Collin, with
his homework. And I am very happy to have the help and support of my wife,
Roxanne, in helping make the science division go. Please share a story
about your successes in science or engineering or a blindness related
problem that you have faced.
