In our next meeting on February 17th Lynn Mack of Polara Engineering will
bring a demo unit of the Navigator APS to demonstrate and discuss the
following:

- The various features and options of the APS
- Intended use of the APS
- Current APS guidelines and trends
- Any questions or input we may have

A brief description of the Navigator APS System:

The Navigator is a full accessible pedestrian signal system. Currently,
pedestrians receive visual information from the signs and lights at an
intersection.
The visual indicators tell the pedestrian what intersection they are at
(street signs) and the various stages of the pedestrian cycle (Walk, Clearance
and Don't Walk). The Navigator offers the same information to the
pedestrian in alternative formats of audible and vibro-tactile information.

Come check out and give your opinion on the latest technology in APS

Date: Saturday February 17th 2007
Place: SF Lighthouse, 214 Van Ness Avenue
Time: 1pm to 3pm
