This letter from Gene Newton came across the Oregon ACB list:
Good morning,
Just wanted to let you know that the Alternate Format Ballot, AFB, is
available in every county for the Primary Election. If you have not done so
already, you will need to call your county elections office to request it.
We had a bit of a problem getting the conversion application to a production
mode so the ballots will probably not be available until later in the week.
Be patient but let your county know right away if you would like one.
Remember, read the instructions carefully. If you follow the instructions
you should not have any problems marking the ballot. Please let me know if
you have feedback or suggestions for improving the ballot or the process for
future elections. Please let others in your network know that the ballots
are available. If someone does not have the technology they can go to the
county elections office and use the Accessible Computer Station there. Each
county also has at least one portable station but I understand that some
counties have neither the funds or the staff to take the portable stations
out to voters for this election. Each county will do what they can to
provide assistance. Thanks. Please let me know if you have additional
questions. Happy voting!!
