>Our Tribute to 20 Years celebration and fundraiser will highlight the
>accomplishments of the Colorado Center for the Blind and its alumni.
>Special honors will be given to 20 people who have been integral in Leading
>the Way to independence over the last two decades.
>
>The Colorado Center’s missionto develop positive attitudes towards
>blindnessempowers blind persons to lead independent lives as fully
>integrated, productive, and contributing members of society. We are a
>501(c)3 organization. The Center provides comprehensive training, support,
>and opportunities to blind persons.
>
>Our Tribute event will be held on September 20 with a festive celebration
>including fabulous food from local restaurateurs, entertainment from alumni,
>a variety of music, and wine tasting. Colorado Center students and alumni
>will offer demonstrations from their training classes in such activities as
>cooking, travel with a long white cane, technology, Braille, and woodshop.
>There will be various reunion activities throughout the weekend. All
>activities will take place at the Colorado Center for the Blind in

>business and political leaders, and members of the Littleton community are
>cordially invited to join us.
>
>All profits raised from the Tribute event will go directly to further the
>work of the Colorado Center. Monies raised will provide assistance for
>newly blind seniors, canes for blind children, assistance to blind job
>seekers, and will help blind individuals learn the adaptive skills needed to
>live, travel, and work independently.
>
