[Nfb-krafters-korner] Demos at Convention & First group meeting

Joyce,
This is really pulling together. I am very impressed with the messages
I've seen and now this fine planning for the group's first convention
and first meeting.  Huzzah! Vivat! You Rock, Joyce!

If I can find room for my craft in the reduced amount of luggage now
kosher with the airlines, I will bring my Viking wire knitting which
creates metal chains for necklaces, bracelets, and such.  It is a very
basic form of knitting on a stick as big as a number 2 pencil and a
strand of 24 or 26 gauge wire.  (As a staff member, I've gotta dress up
and I don't want to pay for a second carry-on, so I can't promise I'll
bring it.) I hope to drop in on the meeting, but cannot predict my
schedule for Tuesday night.

We will have the following demonstrations going on in the exhibit hall
in Dallas on Monday and Tuesday.
 
clay: making buttons and stuff
needle felting on felt with roving
triangle loom weaving
knitting and crocheting
spinning
possibly some bead work
 
 
I hope to have others volunteer too.
 
If anyone is planning on going to Dallas for Convention and would like
to demonstrate some of their crafting abilities please contact me off
list for further information.  Please let me know what type of crafts
you would like  to demonstrate, too.
 
We will be at the table Monday and Tuesday and the meeting will be
Tuesday from 7 pm to 9 pm.  I would love to have you available at the
Tuesday night meeting to show folks ia little earlier prior to the
meeting and possibly if the  meeting has time to finish up with
answering questions on your craft techniques.
