Hello Joyce:
A raised line drawing kit is a board with a rubberized surface. A piece
of thin plastic is placed on the board and secured with two clamps at one
end. Ballpoint pens can then be used to draw on the plastic. When this is
done, a raised line appears as the pen is moved.
As for the embosser plate size, I would guess that companies only have
these sizes available because making the plates bigger would result in an
embosser that would be impossible for most people to use manually.
