Anything that has to do with glass such as fusing, blowing or the making of fernis glass or cane glass lampwork beads. The equipment and studio is pricy, but so are the classes and supplies. I've always wanted to learn loom weaving and to own a good new or used four harnis loom. but, for now, I'll just stick to beadwork which I invewst so much of my budget into anyway. I have been adicted to beads for over 12 years now, and there is never enough money for everything I want. That's why I sell my jewlery so I can buy more beads. Stone carving, mounting and setting, and metal casting also require some big bucks for good lessons but they are a good investmet because you will then be able to actually make a living doing it. I don't quite have the confidence to apply to a jewler's achademy, but like most things in life, the right opportunity may present itself. That's how I learned to do beadwork. Perhaps a future Friday's question could be for people to share how they got into the crafts they do? I'm sure everyone has some good storiesabout their learning process.
