Di;
Is that a story about a guide dog. Is it on NLS?
Sorry to hear about your dog, Joyce. I love dogs and kind of want a
guide dog, but had a bad experience when rooming with someone with a
guide dog. I asked to room with someone with a dog, hoping to get a
good picture. I do not know if I could put my full trust in a dog since
I have some sight. What I would like to do, when my husband passes is
to get a dog, trained for epelepsi and blindness. Then I will feal more
comfertable about living alone.
Sorry about being off topic. Joyce or anyone else write me directly if
you have any advice on this matter.

I am so sorry Joyce. It is one of the most painful things a person has
to go through. My Fred, Slick and Snuggles all passed away from cancer,
but lived to be 16!!! Although they had wonderful full lives, it hurt so
bad.
My lab Buddy got bit by a rattle snake and died in my arms.
Have you read "The Rainbow Bridge?" I know Corey is there waiting for
you.
I wish I was there to give you a hug like Becky did.
Take extra good care and do something nice for yourself (that's my Mom
talking).
Hugs from me and MOO (my Jack Russell)

I just had to share this with all of you. I had to put down my Seeing
Eye dog the beginning of this week. Corey was a wonderful German Sheperd
that was so devoted to me. I believe she had suffered her second stroke
and went down hill fast. I first noticed her trouble last Saturday with
difficulty getting up the stairs from outside.
She had suffered a mild stroke last winter, but bounced back. I had
retired her and she had not been in harness since June.
My heart is broken right now. I will no longer be able to sign off this
way.
..
