I am still waiting to here from the hospital. I am guessing the baby has
arrived already since she had to be there at 6:45 a.m. for the C section.
I went to a workshop last night and am happy to say I did some needle
felting! Actually, I had tried this on my own and was not pleased with it at all
prior to this. I found out that the tools I had gotten were not worked the
best for me. After experimenting with some different tools I found the best
combination that worked for me. I look forward to creating more with this and
this will be something else I can do a demo on at convention.
Instead of having a sponge as padding behind the fabric I had a chance to
use a natural hair brush and instead of the holder of the felting needle tool I
had I used one that had a guard around the 5 needles. This way I could get
my fingers up against it and feel the edges of the fiber piece I was felting
without any thoughts of spearing my fingers with these barbed needles.
I am excited to try some more working with this as soon as I get my new
needle holder and brush!
