Gee wiz, I baby-sit on Monday and Tuesday and don't do much with email.
I have been working with National [Joann Wilson, Mrs. Mauer, etc.] with
getting this group/division started since last July when I returned back home
from Convention.
I did what was suggested by contacting members to see if there were people
interested. People suggested there be a list for people to chit chat.
Now you guys have just taken a big jump ahead of everything. So slow down a
 little.
As was stated affiliates and divisions get a table in the exhibit hall for
free. I don't know about "group", but that will be coming up. I need to
speak with Mrs. Jernaghin and I was hoping we would have some volunteers to do
some demos of their craft work. That would attract people and talk up about
beginning the division. I need to contact her for getting some room some
place to meet, demo or whatever.
I was told once we had some folks I need to get more information on a
mission statement and a constitution and submit that into Dr. Mauer and the
National board for an approval. I don't have my notes right here right now, but I
believe that is what needs to be done.
I need some input and help to organize this.
Everyone seems to be chomping on the bit to sell their handcraft items; I
don't hear much excitement in getting this as a division or group part of NFB!
Do I have any volunteers to be on an NFB Krafters Korner Planning Committee
for Convention? You do not have to be at the Dallas Convention to be on
this Committee, but I need help and I think if we can at least form a committee
that will be a good first step. We need to plan what we would like to
accomplish at the first meeting. It would be great to do it all [demo, learn,
sell, etc.], but that will take some organization from all of us.
I am looking for people willing to be on a committee. That can make some
phone calls, have some input on what to do, volunteer or find volunteers to do
some demos, etc.
I will be willing to do some demos on triangle weaving. I like the idea of
maybe planning a breakfast or lunch.
Anyone willing to take a step over this line to help and be part of the
planning committee please call me in the evening after 4:30 pm eastern time for
this week.203 378 8928
Next Tuesday I will be a Grandma once again, C section is planned, so not
sure of when I will be available. You can get me on Saturday and Sunday after
11 a.m.
