Joyce,
I think many of us would be interested in that abacus bracelent. Sounds a
lot more convenient than an abacus, and very useful for counting rows.
Why don't you share the info with the list?

Subject: Re: [Nfb-krafters-korner] knitting: counting rows

Cindy,

When I first started back to my knitting after I went blind, I used a
regular index card. This is how I did it...

I would turn down and tear it [Like a square/rectangle] across ten times
and
then start off the next 10 rows by tearing off the folded down squares. I
would use the far end shortwise top to bottom and tear it a bit using that
for
every 10 row count.

Since that worked OK for me I have since got much fancier. I purchased an
abacus bracelet.[email me off line and I will look up to where I ordered
one
of the bracelets] These bracelets are made from beads and have 2 rows of
beads. One row has 10 smaller beads and the other row has 10 larger beads.
So
you can count up to 100 rows. I wore this bracelet for several weeks
when I
was working on a project and some folks had made comments to me on how
unusual my bracelet was. They were totally surprised when I told them what
it was.

Joyce
