Hi Terry,
A knitting board is a long or S shaped board with two rows of pegs--either
wood or nylon, some metal on it. You wrap the yarn you use around both sets
of pegs to create a double thickness pannel.

Thanks, Carolyn. I have actually been to those sites tonight and they
have good prices.
Have you used different colors and if so, what are your experiences?
Did you use a wooden or plastic board?
I am leaning more towards the wooden, but I also like the lightness of
the plastic.
