Please pass this message on to the list--it is difficult for me to do
so, as I am not a member.  

To reset the color identifier, place the cap over the sensor.  Press the
reset button on the bottom as the unit is being turned on.  After you
let go of the reset button, the unit beeps and then starts announcing
"white."  It is now ready to start identifying colors again.  These
instructions are on the reverse side of the cassette tape, which came
with the color identifier.

I had purchased a color identifier from the NFB store paying a little
less then $200 for it I believe.  Does anyone know if there is a way to
kinda  reset it?  I wait for it to say "white" and if I put it up to
something  pink, it says light red!  It gets the navy and black well,
but it does not  seem to work 
as well as it use to work.
