Hi Carol,
I'm sorry I don't get a chance to answer right away--it's a choice of either sewing or trying to keep up with all these e-mails. I have several May and Spring Festivals I have to get costumes ready for, plus teaching crafts to several groups (ASG American Sewing Guild) and individuals (including people from the NFB).
I used to do some costuming for a repertoire theatre back in the early 80's here in Connecticut, but then had to give it up, raise a child, put myself through college and keep a roof over my head. I am now 63 and have severe arthritis with Lyme Disease (thank goodness it's not in my eyes--like some I've known), so the only sewing I can handle is one on one professional costumes for individuals.
I am presently reproducing a copy of a 1930's character from a black and white French version of Beauty and the Beast--called LaBelle. The historic detail has to be extremely accurate to the film. That's what I like, because I can no longer stand for hours drafting and cutting material for whole troupes of different size young ladies. About 5 years ago I finished a course in making professional ballet tutus that sell for hundreds of dollars--but haven't gone looking for a contract in that field so far.
If you'd like me to send some pictures to your personal email site (seeing we can't get them to work off this site), please let me know by e-mailing me at: rencraft at snet.net. I've made an attempt several times to design a web site for my costumes but just don't have the computer expertise. Maybe some day I can barter with someone for an exchange.

Hi Audrey, No, I will not be going to Dallas. I wish I could.
It sounds like all of you are going to have a great time.

Some of the instructions I sent are advanced but the basic
instructions are there too. I hope someone will find them
useful. I have not tried any of the fancy stitches yet but I
plan to.

What type of costumes do you make? Are they used in the theater?

proformances?
