Subject: [Nfb-krafters-korner] Hello, I'm a new member
Greetings everyone:
My name is Laurie Porter, I'm so glad we have this list. I have been making
and selling my hand crafted jewlry for the last 12 years. My main focus is
beadwork using tiny sead beads woven together to make necklaces, bracelets
amulets and bead amulet bags. My designs are inspired by African and native
American bead weaving techniques both on a loom and off loom stitches. I
also do some stringing and wireworking with gem stones, Austrian Crystal,
decroic glass, lampwork or fernis glass, cloisenay and fire pollished beads
of all shapes and sizes. I have not gotten together a website yet but I
hope it will be in the near future. I sell my pieces along with my other
products at farmer's markets and craft shows around Madison Wisconsin. The
other products I sell for my business called WildLife Preserves My partner
David and I produce over 75 varieties of jams, jellies, preserves and
butters made from scratch as well as a number of seasonal dry goods
including smoked nuts, wild rice blends, spice mixes and dried shiiatake
mushrooms. We also make pure Wisconsin maple syrup from a stand of old sugar
maple trees in Northern Iron county. I look forward to getting to know you
all on this list, and I hope we can organize a crafter's division.
Peace,
Laurie
Peace,
Laurie
