Hi Joyce,

I will gladly explain about the book.

Bunny Leighton, who is a quilt designer mostly specializing in applique
patterns, is writing a book called "The Sisterhood of Quilters". She learned
of me through a list that I am on and asked one of the other members to
contact me for her. I told her that I would be glad to talk to Ms. Leighton.
She contacted me and said that she is interested in doing a chapter in her
book about me and others with visual impairments who quilt. She has been
sending me questions that I have answered and sent them on to the group for
visually impaired quilters and sewers.

If there is anyone else out there who quilts and has a visual impairment and
is interested in giving your answers to the questions so that Ms. Leighton
can get a fuller picture of how we do things, then please let me know. I
will be happy to send the questions on to you to answer. I will then forward
the replies to Ms. Leighton.

This is a fantastic opportunity for us to get our story out there to let the
sighted community know that, even though we can't see perfectly, we are very
capable of doing a lot of things!

Hugs,
Tanya in KY
