Now what type of wire or where is this found in a craft store?  Is it  
jewelry wire?  You say that it does not work on regular size needles only  your 
embroidery size needles, can you tell me what size you have?  As I  would need 
something thinner then what you are describing to me in order to get  it through 
a sewing machine needle.  It would also have to have some  stiffness and be 
bent in half.
