I have hand made wooden 12 inch triangle looms with 1/2 inch spacing across  
the hypotenuse .    These have raised nails on sides to  coordinate with the 
opposite side for you to know where you are with just a  touch of your fingers. 
 I have had sighted folks ask after they have seen  the raised nails, "Why 
don't they make them that way for the sighted folks,  too?"
 
You can use worstered weight to bulky weight yarn with this loom.  I  love to 
mix yarns and hold a couple of different weight and texture  together.  Learn 
how to weave using the continuous weave method, no warping  and weaving, just 
one strand!
