Dear Family and Friends:
 
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Imagination Fund.  In order to participate in this event which will take place during our national convention in Dallas, Texas this coming July, I pledged to raise a minimum of $250.
 
I'm not good at asking for money, but the work of the NFB that is funded by this event will benefit so many blind children, youth, and others that I simply cannot let my fear stand in the way of making this sincere request for your financial support.
