Hi Buffa, and all,
You might ask on the fundraising list. There was, a
few summers ago, an affiliate or chapter out west that
was selling digital hand-held recorders for something
like $10 or $15, I'm thinking. My chapter bought a
handful, at the time. They hold 90-minutes of
recordings, I'm pretty sure.
I believe it was the Arizona affiliate, maybe Nevada.
One of the Gardners, I think. But my memory fails me
all to often with such things, so don't quote me
(smile). Just ask on the Fundraising list, if an
affiliate is still selling those hand-held digital
recorders they were selling a few years ago, maybe?
Actually, since I'd like to know too, I'm going to copy
this message to the NFB-Fundraising list and start the
query for you. Hope you don't mind.
So, fundraisers, who was it that sold those digital
recorders, please? And if you're here, are you still
selling them by some miracle? If not, where can we get
them, please?
Thanks,
Everett

I'm looking for less expensive, simple digital
recorders to use with my
students. We currently demonstrate the Olympus DS 50
and Mileston, both
good recorders but priced at $215 and over $300
respectively. Thus, many
counselors will not purchase them even if recommended.
Please email me a
brand, model number and supplier for any less
expensive models. I work
with folks from 18 to 88 with third-grade educations to
PhDs. So a wide
range of products is most useful.
Thanks
