Hello,

I think I sent this one through last year, too. Did
the New York affiliate ever take advantage of this
opportunity? Anyone here who might know? Either way,
it's a good opportunity to help raise up one's level of
professionalism in the public eye. I mean, c'mon, if
the New York affiliate, or maybe even a chapter in New
York, wins, it's free marketing help! ;-)

To Your Success!

Taproot Foundation Seeks Proposals for
Capacity-Building
Service Grants

Deadline: June 1, 2007

The Taproot Foundation (
http://www.taprootfoundation.org/ )
engages highly skilled business professionals with the
goal of
delivering capacity-building services to New York City
nonprofit
 organizations.

Unlike traditional foundations that provide cash
grants, Taproot
makes "Service Grants" to provide nonprofits with
critical
marketing, technology, and human resources development
services.
A grant from Taproot can provide an organization with
the tools
and resources necessary to hit specific goals and
objectives in
 their strategic plan, marketing/communications plan,
technology
 plan, and/or staffing structure.

The foundation will award service grants in the
following areas
for the June 2007 grant round: Marketing/
Fundraising -- Brochure,
Annual Report; Information Technology -- Donor
Database; and
Human Resources -- Performance Management Systems.

Visit the Taproot Foundation Web site for a complete
description
of each service grant, eligibility criteria, and an
the online
 application form.
