Hello Again, Fundraisers & Fundseekers,
Forgive my ignorance, but do we have a District
affiliate in Washington, DC, or do we all just meet
there at the Hill each year? I'm having one of those
moments again. Anyway, if we do, this grant might make
for a good opportunity to put together a timeline of
historical facts of what the NFB has achieved through
our Washington Seminars. It's definitely a great piece
of DC history, after all.
The grant opp below states, "Proposals may request
funds of up to $2,000 for programs and projects focused
on the history, heritage, and preservation of
Washington. These grants are on a short time-line, with
a grant period lasting from July 1 through October 31,
2007. Funds are designated for short projects that can
be completed within the 120-day grant period..."
Well, the NFB is part of Washington DC's history. All
we need is someone with a passion for documenting such
things, and gathering all the facts... who can keep
costs within the $2000 budget. (Smile)
Regards,
Everett
