Sppeaking of fundraising, we have our Cycle for Independence or bike-a-thon
this Saturday. the highest number of riders we have ever had before was
133. This year we have 200 preregistered, and I am guessing there will be
between fifty and 100 come and register at the ride. We are excited and
working like mad. It looks as though we will net close to six thousand
dollars without the last group to register. This has taken several years
to build, but we have learned many wrinkles by now.
Joe, Norm Gardner holds a meeting of the White Cane Committee which talks
about fundraising ideas. He generally does not have a big attendance, but
you might want to combine efforts with him.
