Dear fundraisers,

I hope my note finds you doing well, and please forgive my inability to
keep up with the duties of keeping the list active. Graduating and getting
ready to host convention tend to keep you on your toes.

I was wondering if any chapters, affiliates or divisions were interested
in sharing what they were planning to do in the way of fundraisers at
convention. Perhaps you might inspire another grooup to run their own
project at a future gathering? Also, it might be good to knoww what to look
forward to during that week. My student division will be hosting Southern
Strums, a musical talent show designed to give guests an opportunity to meet
and get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere. Though not exactly a
fundraiser, we are hosting a goal ball tournament for which we will charge a
small fee to register, but our objective there is mostly for students and
adults alike to come out and have a good time.

While I have your attention, I am also interested to know if anyone
would care to meet informally to talk about successful fundraising
techniques. Unless there is a grant writing seminar of which I am not aware
of, I think it would be good to include such a discussion within this casual
meeting, perhaps over a meal or something. Anyway, let me know if anyone is
interested so that we can look at possible dates and times.

We're all excited to see you guys in Dallas, and I wish you well in
whatever fundraising endeavor you undertake.

          Sincerely,

          Joe Orozco
