Affiliate Presidents,



This is an important and time-sensitive request and it needs your
attention.



The class action law suit against Cardtronics dealing with automated
teller machines (ATM machines) was settled.  As part of the settlement,
the NFB must test the accessibility of ATM's across the United States.
Dr. Maurer has requested that I coordinate the testing efforts.  It is
critical that every state president respond to this email.



To facilitate the testing of ATM machines, please immediately reply to
this email with the names and email address of three to six people in
your affiliate.  You may include your own name.  The people whose names
you provide should be able to communicate via email.  Each person must
also have the opportunity within the next short period of time to locate
and test one to five ATM machines.  Each person will be requested to
answer specific questions regarding the machine they test.  Each
individual will need a pair of headphones to be used during the testing
of the ATM machine.  Please reply to this email with the name and email
address of three to six people who fit the description above.  I will
then contact the people you designate and provide further testing
information.  The information will include the location of the machine
to be tested, the identification number of each machine and a set of
questions that should be answered.  Each individual will then have 2 - 3
weeks to accomplish the testing and reply with the answers to the
accessibility questions that will be provided.

Again, please reply to this email with the name and email address of the
individuals from your affiliate that will participate.  The NFB will be
paid for each machine that is tested and for which results are reported
back to Cardtronics through the District Court.  Dr. Maurer has
authorized that the amount the NFB receives for testing the machines
will be shared with state affiliates or chapters of those who actually
participate in the testing and return the required testing results to
me.  This could be as much as $50 per machine.
