Hello Everyone,
My Sunny passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly nearly six weeks
ago. The cause of her death was Hemangiosarcoma, a type of cancer. She
literally collapsed, and did not ever regain consciousness. I miss her
more than I can express in words, but I know that articulating that is
not necessary, since everyone here understands the bond that we have
with our dogs.
I received word at the end of last week that I have been accepted to
the Guide Dog Foundation again. I will be going to class in New York
for three weeks in January. Sunny cannot and will not ever be
replaced, but I am looking forward to building a partnership with my
second Guide Dog. I know that he or she will be his or her own dog,
and I am ready for whomever my dog is.
