We were taught that on sidewalk less streets when you hear a car approaching 
you tell the dog left to the curb and he will turn left to the edge and wait 
until the traffic clears and then you resume travel. I do not do this 
because I would never get anywhere. He is real good about following the 
grassline or curb. I have no idea how you do over right.
