Dear NFB Community,
We hope that you are well! We are excited to announce the launch of a new
mentorship program within the National Association of Blind Students
(NABS), and we are seeking passionate mentors to help support our students
throughout their academic journeys.
Through this program, we aim to guide, advise, and expose mentees to
various career paths, the NABS community, and life's many opportunities and
challenges.
As a mentor, your goal will be to assist your mentee in one or more of the
following areas:
- Integrating into the NABS and wider NFB community
- Providing guidance with college or high school-related matters
- Offering career advice and support
You don't need to be an expert in all of these areas. We will match mentors
and mentees based on shared career interests, geographic location, and the
specific goals of the mentee. Additionally, we hope that you can meet with
your mentee during the 2025 Washington Seminar, which will be held at the
end of January 2025.
If you are interested in becoming a mentor or have further questions,
please reach out to Nikki Dadlani by phone at 415-320-2165 or via email at
nikhildadlani at berkeley.edu.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a meaningful impact in
someone’s life!
Best regards,
NABS Membership Committee
