Hello,

I am a blind PhD student in Special Education at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison. I am conducting astudy on how college students with
disabailities define and engage in self-advocacy as a part of my program
requirement. I have shared about this study a few months ago with NABS, but
sharing once more as I have expanded the participant criteria to all
undergraduate students with disabilities regardless of what year of study
they are in.

The text of the recruitment is pasted below. Thank you for your
consideration and please reach out if you have any questions.

What does self-advocacy mean to you?

When and how do you engage in self-advocacy?

Share your thoughts by participating in this study, "College Students with
Disabilities' Definition of and Engagement in Self-Advocacy."

Your perspectives will inform parents and educators to better prepare
students with disabilities to have a smoother transition from high school to
college.

If you are an undergraduate student with disability at a university or
college in the

U.S., we want to hear from you. Fill out this survey to express interest:

If you are selected, you will be asked to participate in a virtual interview
for 45-60 minutes.

(The study was determined exempt by the UW-Madison Institutional Review
