Hello Cheryl and listers,

You have already talked to my husband Pete, so let me introduce myself.
I am the vice president of the National Association of Blind Office
Professionals (NABOP). Lisa Hall, who lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the
current president. Yes, we will be having a division meeting on June 30 at
7:00 P.M. I can't remember the room number, but you are welcome to join. I
joined because, at that time, I was a telephone operator for Qwest
Communications, and am now a customer care sales specialist for Marriott
Hotels. In other words, I book reservations for Marriott hotel properties
worldwide. In addition, I am a certified NLS Braille proofreader, and have
done Braille proofreading for the past 18 years.

In any case, that's enough about me. Please come to the NABOP meeting
during the convention and ask your question again. Someone might be there to
answer it. I wish I could help you further, but have no clue. Lord willing,
we'll meet during the convention.

Mary Donahue

Subject: [nabop] new to the list

Hi all some of you may know me from other lists. My name is cheryl
echevarria, I am 40 years old, lost my vision almost 6 years ago now, I will
be at the convention. so if there is a division I can join there as well
with dues or a what site. please let me know.

I am starting school here on long island in July hopefully the vocational
department here in NY is excuse the fresh "assbackwards" long story. and the
school I am attending only has one other student that is blind and she is in
Albany. Anyway, I will be the first blind student studying medical
billing/coding. So if there is anyone who has done this or know someone that
has done this let me know. I wll probably be listening for awhile, but my
biggest questions are primarily how does one deal with alot of paperwork.
sounds stupid is it just scanning it all the time on to the computer or if
someone has used the new kurzeil reader does that do it as well. Please fill
me in. I also have my first guide dog. Let me know if you are having a
meeting there or any activities so that I can make plans at convention.

take care.Cheryl and Maxx (Guide Dog from GDF)2 year post kidney transplant
