[nabop] medical transcription questions

Cheryl:

Are you working towards a degree in medical coding? If so, a coder can do 
medical transcription, but a transcriptionist can not code. So in other 
words, if you are going to graduate with a coding degree you will be able to 
do medical transcription. I am getting ready to graduate with an AAS in 
medical office administration with emphasis in medical transcription and 
have looked into getting a Bachelors in HIT in the future. I am not sure if 
my degree will transfer to the four year institution yet.

hello everyone question, I will be continuing my education once I graduate 
from the technical school for medical billing.  Question I have already 
taken Anatomy and physiology and I used to be a legal transcriptionist. 
question can I be a medical transcriptionist  without being certified. and 
also any good sites out there for working at home, you see I plan on going 
to college after this disaster at the current school to get my AAS Degree in 
HIT which is Health Information Technology. and would like to possible work 
p/t any advice would be great thank you.
