This announcement comes from the Principal of the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Lauren Newton.
The Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired will be offering a very special Braille Music class this summer. Mr. Bill McCann from Dancing Dots
is teaching this class along with our schools outstanding music director. A description of last years class can be found at the Outreach website address
below.
Were on a short timeline because we just got permission to offer the class to non-Texas residents.
If anybody has any questions, they can call or email Lauren Newton at the contact information below.
Here is a short description of the class:
A Braille Music Class will be taught on June 10-21 for students ages 12-22 at the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired. The class will be taught
by Bill McCann from Dancing Dots (Dancing Dots. Braille music)
and Jane Rundquist, TSBVI music director. Participants should be functioning on or close to grade level, have a musical background, independently use
a Windows PC and access technology, and read contracted literary Braille.
