Hello Entrepreneurs,

Regarding the discussion that arises at some point with
every business owner, as to why or why not one should
or shouldn't have a business plan in place, here's a
quote that (in my mind) says it all rather succinctly:


"Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to
victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before
defeat."
 - Sun Tzu


A business plan will of course get you to figure out
the details, and put them in writing to follow,
day-by-day and month-after-month, the strategy(ies) and
tactics within that strategy, you've chosen to lead you
and your business towards success.

For anyone wishing to start with a business plan, I
recommend beginning at www.bplans.com.  This site has
hundreds of sample business plans and sample marketing
plans that you might very well be able to use to begin
your own plan with.  They have hundreds of sample plans
all categorized by the type of business.  Such as
Bar/Club, Manufacturer, Online Retail Store, Airplane
Rides & Rentals, etc.  They are alphabetically listed,
too.  It's a good starting point.

What I've done in the past is to copy & paste the text
of the plans into my own MS Word document for use as a
guide in formatting and defining my own plans.  Rather
than starting from scratch and 're-creating the wheel,"
as they say.
